Western Michigan 6-0

First time ranked in school history
After the great win against our long time rival Northern Illinois; Western Football becomes 6-0 for their record. This is the first time since 1941 that Western has started 6-0. This is a great turn around from PJ Fleck's first season as head coach at Western only going 1-11 in the season. This is the first time Western has beaten Northern Illinois, the defending mac champions, since 2008. This is turning into a great season for Western with only unchartered territories moving forward. This is the first time Western has been ranked in both the coaches poll and the AP poll giving us a 24 and 23 ranking. With already being bowl eligible Western still has eyes set on the Mac championship game with many hard teams to play in our future.

  1. Crazy to think that a MAC school such as Western Michigan is making a big splash across the Nation. The problem in the near future, is that PJ Fleck is almost guaranteed to leave for a possible SEC school, maybe LSU. One thing that I have learned is that PJ Flecks wife, who was married before to another man, her kids cannot live out of the state of Michigan. I'm not sure if this is true, but that could definitely be a deciding factor in choosing another possible coaching position.
